From Alta Roca to the gulf of Bonifacio

Before driving back you will enjoy the superb beaches of Propriano and particularly the Lido one at the end of which you will have the possibility to stay.

Then you will travel towards Sartène which is said to be « the most Corsican among the Corsican towns ». A visit to the old town is a must and particularly the quarter Santa Anna which has kept its medieval aspect. The Corsican prehistory Museum will complete your knowledge you got in Filitosa about the origins of Corsica.

Travelling away the national road you will have also the opportunity to see very beautiful archaeological sites such as the megaliths from Cauria, the alignments of Stantari, of Renaggiu, Palaggiu or even the Fontanaccia dolmen.

You will drive back on the national road which will lead you to Bonifacio through the Coralli pass where you will enjoy several views over the lion rock or the Monks island.

Facing Sardinia Bonifacio lies on a unique site. The old town surrounded with its fortifications is perched on a rocky promontory which overlooks the Mediterranean sea swell.

A visit of the upper town is a must as well as a sea voyage to discover the mysterious marine caves.

While staying there you will fully appreciate the place which is one of the imperative site in Corsica.
