To commence this last journey you will travel up the Weiss valley until Fréland. There the Maison du Pays welche traces back the life of this French-speaking community which spoke a Lorrain vernacular in Alsatian land.
After having crossed Aubure the highest village in Alsace at an altitude of more than 800 metres you will reach the Val d'Argent. It won an international renown around its history. First the silver mine exploitation which fed the treasures of the Austrian Empire and the kings of France, on the other hand the quality of its cloths were sent around the world until a recent time. You will have the opportunity to visit the museums devoted to these activities and discover the trades of the past on the course of international events.
The Villé valley famous for orchards and its home distillers is the kingdom of the local home distilleries. Here everything can be distilled fruits, berries, roots.
You will travel up to the crests to reach one of the most important forest massifs in the Vosges.
You will discover an immense panorama over the Vosges, the plain of Alsace and the Black Forest from the top of a panoramic tower at the Champ du Feu at an altitude of more than 1000 metres. Whenever the weather is clear you will even distinguish the Alp summits in the distance.
