Between Normandy and Brittany the Manoir de la Roche Torin park opens up to a panoramic view of the Mont Saint-Michel bay. At the sunset the abbey outlines stand out the verdant setting displaying the strands scattered with the famous lamb herds on the salt meadows.
You will travel around the bay along an old bridge built in the Xth century on the river Sélune at the level of the town of Ducey.
You will reach Avranches along a scenic road, besides its history remains closely connected to the Mont Saint-Michel one and marked by the Ally landings in summer 1944.
Cross the river Sée to reach the coastal road where the views on the strand and the salt meadow stretches follow one another from the Grouin to the Bec d’Andaine head lands. Have a look at the porch of the granite church Notre-Dame-de-Genêts from the XVIth century.
You will leave the coast at the level of the Carolles sea-resort to sink in the mazes of the Normand bocage.
In a remote and verdant valley where flows the river Thar you will discover the majestic Lucerne abbey founded by the Prémontrés in the XIIth century. After a trip in a lavish nature you will find back the spray facing the Chausey islands on the rock which towers above the Granvillois’ city. Granville, sea-resort, keeps the memory of its home child Christian Dior, in the former family home open to the public.
To reach your stopping point you will travel towards the northern Cotentin, at first along the fine sand beaches then through the verdant Norman countryside.
