Quercy and black Périgord marvels

At the heart of a more than 100 hectare park the Fleurie castle provides the stay with quietness and change of scenery.
You will start this itinerary in Black Périgord Noir by travelling along the Vézère up to Terrasson-la-Villedieu.

At the Roche you will discover the Causse lake which is also called Chasteaux lake. You will follow it until Lissac which towers the Couze valley. After having crossed a panorama of verdant hills the Renaissance castle and the Roman church of Noailles will appear.

Go past the Lamouroux caves to reach the Tourmente valley. The road rises at the heart of the Corrézian Causse towards the former viscount estate which commanded, the Haut-Quercy, the Salardais and a part of the Bas-Limousin in the XVth century.

From the ruins of the castle perched on the hill where the village of Turenne is hanged take time to admire the le superb panorama extended up to Collonges-la-Rouge.

Drive towards the Dordogne valley. From the top of their rocky spur the three castles of Curemonte watch the Causse of Martel, the Black Périgord and the southern Correzian area that you will leave after a last glance to this majestic panorama from the top of the tower at Quessac-les-Vignes castle.

After having crossed Dordogne you will reach the Quercinois landscapes. As you will travel up the Dordogne flow then the Cère one you will discover the majestic outline of the medieval castle of Castelnau-Bretenoux. Before arriving in Rocamadour you will travel in the vicinity of the Padirac abyss, one of the marvels in this itinerary.
