Day 3 : SAINTE-SABINE - SAULON-LA-RUE (82 on 281 km)
You will resume your itinerary following the Dukes of Burgundy Road where castles and historical mansions follow one another.
You will discover a breathtaking view over Auxois when crossing the canal of Bourgogne towards Châteauneuf,.
Châteauneuf is a fortified town in a scenic site and famous for its fortified castle which commanded the road from Dijon to Autun. The village presents a beautiful unit of XVIth and XVIIth century houses.
Drive back on the Dukes of Burgundy Road where typical villages, fortresses and bucolic landscapes follow each other, providing a real charm to this itinerary.
After the bridge Ouche the itinerary winds between Bouhey forest, the canal of Bourgogne, the Daviot wood, all along the Ouche valley.
You will drive up to reach the Moteulot castle before arriving on top of the hills which overlook the superbe vineyard of Gevrey- Chambertin.
There you will encounter the Saulon castle in a setting which invites the visitor to a well-earned rest.
