The magnificent home where you will stay for the evening was built on the ruins of an abbey founded by the Prémontrés in the XII th century. In the 30 hectare park and during your stay you will have the opportunity to learn how to play golf.

At the Sept-Fontaines abbey you will discover the bucolic setting where le Général de Gaulle liked to meet his in-laws.

In Evigny two local houses illustrate the peasant life during the XIX th century.

The ArdennaiseThiérache was crossed by the coach road connecting Amsterdam to Marseille. Launois-sur-Vence shelters a former XVII th century coach and message inn in perfect condition.

After having crossed the Signy forest you will discover Novion the Porcien capital situated on a Roman way which linked Reims to Cologne. From the levees in a Roman camp on the Mounts of Sery you will enjoy a superb panorama over the area.

You will reach the Aisne valley and Rethel where Verlaine was a teacher of history and geography.
Then you will follow a road which runs along the Mourmelon military camp. At the village of Verzy you will find back and its nearby highest peak the Mount Sinaï.

In the regional Natural Park of the Mountain of Reims along the wine-producing villages you will admire the Louvois castle and an outstanding view over the Côte des Blancs.

Be sure to make a detour across one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France. Oger which owns one of the "first vintages" of this prestigious vineyard. Have a last glance at the church of Saint-Martin de Vertus built on piles in the XI th century before ending this very beautiful itinerary.
