At Beaugency enjoy the monastic life in this former XVIIth century abbey. The meditation in these former monk cells is a privileged moment for the lovers of beautiful stones and history when facing this Val de Loire typical landscape with its river and a medieval bridge.

Amble in the side streets where the medieval homes and Renaissance buildings follow each other.

After having crossed the river you will pursue your journey through the vines and the prairies, the forests and the ponds of Sologne. Some castles stand out at the bend in the paths.

From time to time this tranquillity is disturbed by the village animation where its old quarters have kept the traditional brick houses and pans de bois. At la Ferté-Saint-Aubin you will admire the magnificent park in the English style which adjoins the castle and its red brick façades.

La Sologne, a fishing, hunting and breeding land produces excellent cheeses. The visit of the Ciran domain in Ménestreau-en-Villette will provide the clues to understand the balance of this precious ecosystem.

The forest of Lamotte-Beuvron is a vast hunting domain where you may encounter does, roe deers, wild boars or pheasants at the bend of a clearing. This town has been famous since the XIXth century, for its delicious tarts from the Tatin sisters.
