From the vast Solognote and Berrichonne stretches to the Sancerrois vineyard

At the heart of a 20 hectare park you will enjoy the authenticity and the comfort at the Verrerie castlebuilt in the XVIth century by the Stuart from Scotland. Along the Jacques Cœur road you will reach the Nère valley at the place called « l’étang » where the river becomes a lake in which the shades of the Renaissance castle reflect. Beyond the mist of the lake on croirait apercevoir the Grand Meaulnes’ characters.

You will follow your route through the Ivoy forest then the wood of Beaujeu before reaching the first Sancerrois hills at the Boucard castle. After Menetou-Râtel you will travel in the vicinity of Chavignol village the « Crottin » of which, a dry goat cheese, is savored with a slightly fruity white Sancerre.

Before reaching the wine roads at Crézancy-en-Sancerre admire a superb view over the Bué vineyard.

You will reach the sandstone soils in the Henrichemont wood which originate the development of Berry pottery. The Beuve museum offers the opportunity to discover the local potters’ know how.

At the edge of the Humbligny wood a small scenic road will lead you up to Marogues where you will discober a Roman church from the XIIIth century and the Maupas castle in a park and its age-old trees.

You will reach the Auron valley by the fortified city of Dun. Before you will admire the Jussy-Champagne castle built in the XVIIth century. The hauling path of the Berry canal will lead you through the Meillant wood until your « sweet home » for a well deserved comfort.
