Day 1 : SAINT-SATURNIN-DE-LENNE - SAINTE-ENIMIE (84 on 192 km)
A genuine village of farmers will be the starting point of your journey. You will stay in the quietness of a vast home the Saint-Saturnin castle.
Further to your departure you will approach the wild panoramas of the Causse de Séverac which undulate for ever and ever. From time to time you will distinguish a few helmets and their slated roofs as well as shelters for the shepherds.
The town of Séverac lies on the sides of an isolated hill in the distance. It is towered by an imposing rock supporting the ruins of the castle belong to one of the oldest Baron estate in France.
Then you will, travel towards the limestone plateau of the Causse de Sauveterre and its uneven landscapes.
At Massegros you will discover superb Araganoise houses at the heart of a Caussenard village.
After the crossing of the Causse punctuated with views you will travel down towards the Rozier village built at the confluent of the rivers Tarn and Joute and starting point for the circuit of the Gorges of Tarn.
The opened up road on the right bank of the river Tarn is particularly scenic. Actually the gorges reveal a large amount of typical sites, helmets hanged on the rock, ruins of castles or restored castles, villages harbouring a Roman church and old houses standing along side streets.
The end of the journey will lead you to Sainte-Enimie after having crossed the villages of Vignes and Malène.
